17th 'Emasingee Damak' observed

Imphal, December 16 2025: In commemoration of the 86th Nupi Lan, the All Manipur Arts & Culture Students' Union (AMACSU) observed the "17th Emasingee damak" at the auditorium hall of Jawaharlal Nehru Manipur Dance Academy today.

At the event, 13 eminent women were honoured with AMACSU Awards 2025 .

Notable dignitaries present include Padma Shri awardee Dr Elam Indira, Senior Guru, JNMDA and president, MTDTS & PC; Dr Meikam Thoiba Singh, HoD, Dance and Music, Manipur University and Samurailatpam Abung Sharma, president AMACSU and State Kala Young Talent Awardee in Thang-Ta as the chief guest, guest of honour and functional president.

The AMACSU Awards 2025 recipients are Heikrujam Thoibi (Amaibi), Angom Thaballei Devi (Chakpa Phayeng Lai Haraoba Jagoi), Konthoujam Geeta Devi (Print Media).

Hidangmayum Balatombi Devi (Hindustani Classical Vocal), Mayanglambam Ibeyaima Devi (Shumang Leela), Moirangthem Ratana Devi ( Shumang Leela), Chongtham Shanatombi Devi (Manipuri Matam Eshei), Tongbram Chandrakala Devi (Writer), A Shusila Devi (Costume Maker), Longjam Lalitabi Devi (Manipuri Cinema), Hidangmayum Aruna Devi (Nat Sankritan), Thongam Thoithoi Devi (Theatre) and Reema Sahani (Qawwali singer) .
