Thoubal, October 13 2025: Khangabok AC MLA Okram Surjakumar inaugurated a community hall at Khangabok Part III Cherapur Leikai and handed the structure over to the public today.

The community hall was built from the MLA's Local Area Development Fund.

The inaugural ceremony was organised by Khangabok Part III Cherapur Leikai Development Committee.

Speaking in this connection, MLA O Surjakumar said that a "Bamon Mandop" donated by the elders of the Ningthoujam clan (sagei) from the locality stood where the community hall stands now.

But, to keep up with changing public's needs and in consultation with them, a community hall was constructed here, he said.

The inaugural ceremony was attended by former MLA Okram Landhoni with daughter in-law Dr Hijam Micky; former member, Khangabok Zilla Parishad Kh Rajmohon; Khangabok Part III GP former Pradhan, M Manglemjao and Kh Khomei among others.
