Drivers, technicians observe 50th anniversary

Bishnupur, June 11 2025: The 50th Drivers' Day was observed by All Manipur Government Drivers' and Technician Association (AMGDTA) at the Association's Bishnupur town office on Wednesday.

The programme was attended by AMGDTA chief advisor S Ibopishak, advisor S Ibochouba, president L Noren, working president T Manipomba and vice president N Tomba Singh as presidium members.

Delivering the keynote address, AMGDTA secretary general M Mahesh Singh disclosed that the Association has resolved to press for honouring their demands mentioned in a memorandum submitted to the state government including regularisation of all drivers currently employed as muster roll and casual workers and implementation of grade pay as applicable in the other north eastern states.
