EK School, THAU felicitate meritorious students

Students of Enlighten Knowledge (EK) Higher Secondary School, who secured positions in the class XII examination-2025 conducted by the Board of Secondary Education Manipur (CoHSEM), were felicitated by the school at its Sangakpham campus on Sunday.
The function organised by School Governing Body was attended by School secretary P Saratchandra, 9th Sector AR commander Brigadier Ananya Boral, ,4th AR commandant colonel Sandip Mishra, School principal Dr Kh Binodkumar, governing body members, teachers, students and parents.
Speaking as chief guest of the function, Tourism director Pooja Elangbam emphasised that students should not only focus on scoring high marks or securing top positions in exams but strive to learn how to contribute to society and understand meaningful ways to support the poor and underprivileged.
She further highlighted that the higher secondary stage is a crucial phase in a student s life and called upon teachers and parents to provide essential care and support.
However, she noted that such support tend to gradually diminish by the time students reach college or university.
It is during this period that students must begin to take responsibility of shaping own future, gaining valuable experiences and exploring new opportunities along the way, she maintained.
Pooja Elangbam also stressed the importance of maintaining a balance between academics and extracurricular activities.
Pointing out that failure is a part of life, the key, she said, lies in transforming failures into opportunities for growth.
On the other-hand; Thangmeiband United Club (THAU) felicitated and encouraged Harsh Maisnam, who secured second position in arts stream of the class XII examination-2025 conducted by CoHSEM.
A felicitation function for the topper student was held on Sunday at THAU ground with former chief minister Radhabinod Koijam, THAU president Kh Momon and CoHSEM secretary Kh Ashikumar as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.
In his address, Radhabinod said as no one can stop changes brought by time, it is important for the Meetei community to understand the path and side they have to step in or else it would take not much time for the community to extinct.
According to Radhabinod Koijam, the present generation should not forget how the Meeteis were taken captive and made slaves during the time of Seven Years of Devastation.
In the same manner, infiltrators from outside are trying to distort Manipur by waging war against the Meetei community.
However, many courageous and patriotic people came out to defend the community While many have sacrificed their lives for the motherland, he said and advised the Meeteis to be always vigilant and take decisions wisely.
