Assam Rifles empowers Bishnupur youth through pre-recruitment training at Nambol

Bishnupur, April 02 2026:
Assam Rifles commenced a comprehensive Pre-Recruitment Training (PRT) programme at the Nambol Garrison in Bishnupur District on April 1, 2026 .
According to a release issued by the IGAR (South), the initiative is designed to equip local youth with the necessary skills for recruitment as Agniveers in the Indian Armed Forces and as Constables in the Central Armed Police Forces.
A batch of 10 local youths has currently enrolled for this flee training which covers both physical conditioning and academic preparation.
The module includes structured endurance runs, strength training and medical check-ups alongside theory classes conducted by experienced instructors.
To support their physical development, trainees are provided with a nutritious diet including eggs and milk.
During the inaugural session, a contingent of officials and personnel interacted with the candidates to explain recruitment procedures and the importance of discipline and hard work.
They highlighted the long-term benefits of a career in the forces, such as secure employment, medical facilities and the dignity of national service.
To further inspire the participants, a motivational film showcasing the 100 per cent success rate of last year's 25 candidates was screened.
The event concluded with a group photograph to formally mark the start of the journey.
This programme represents a paradigm shift in guiding regional youth towards meaningful engagement and honourable lives for them and their families.
