Training programme on improved Hawaijar production concludes

The four-day "Hands-on Training Programme on Improved Method of Fermented Soybean (Hawaijar) Production" was successfully wrapped up at the office campus of Prem Dhara in Heirok Part II, Thoubal.
The programme was conducted from March 24 to 27, 2026 The training was organized by the All India Coordinated Research Project on Post-Harvest Engineering and Technology (AICRP on PHET), Central Agricultural University (CAU), Imphal, in collaboration with Prem Dhara.
Altogether 70 unemployed women participated in the programme, learning modem techniques of Hawaijar production and value addition.
The closing function was attended by Dr Thangjam Anand Singh, Senior Scientist, AICRP on PHET, CAU Imphal, and senior RSS Pracharak Laishram Jatra Singh as chief guests.
During the valedictory session, certificates of participation were distributed to the trainees, and soybean seeds were handed over to assist them in continuing Hawaijar production as a sustainable livelihood activity.
