Oriental Club marks 69th Foundation Day

Imphal, May 26 2026: The 69th Foundation Day of Oriental Club was observed today at the club premises in Khongman Mangjil, Imphal East.

Dr Sarangthem Ibomcha, SP Special Commando and Commandant, 6th IRB, attended as chief guest, with club president Hijam Pakasana presiding.

Congratulating the club, Dr Ibomcha urged it to continue its public service and called on locals to work unitedly for the club's development.

Addressing students, he stressed studying diligently and becoming responsible citizens.

He cautioned against excessive mobile phone use, saying it reduces concentration and wastes time.

Floral tributes were paid to deceased members who contributed to the club.

The oldest residents of the locality were honoured with shawls.

Meritorious students and outstanding sportspersons of the area were also felicitated with certificates and cash awards to encourage them.
