86 Bn CRPF conducts Civic Action Programe at Nungtek-I and Longmai Pt-II

Noney, November 24 2025: The 86 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), under the aegis of IGM&N Sector CRPF, conducted a Civic Action Programme (CAP) on Monday at Nungtek-I (Karuangmuan) and Longmai Pt-II villages in Noney district.

As per a release issued by the 86 Bn CRPF, the programme was attended by officials including Saurabh Kumar Chaudhary, Commandant of 86 Bn CRPF; SDPO Nungba, SM Hussain (presently holding the charge of SP Noney); Adai Dangmei, chairman of Longmai Area Village Council; Esakar Khumba, secretary of Karuangmuan village; civil society members, village elders, journalists, and local villagers.

As part of the initiative, water storage tanks were distributed to needy households in both villages.

A community meeting was also held, with the youth and village leaders to discuss welfare issues and future collaboration.

Addressing the gathering, chief guest Saurabh Kumar Choudhary, Commandant of 86 Bn CRPF, expressed gratitude to the villagers for their cooperation.

He highlighted that the distribution of water tanks would help improve the quality of life and strengthen the bond between the CRPF and local communities.

Village chairmen and residents from both Nungtek-I and Longmai Pt-II welcomed the gesture and conveyed their heartfelt appreciation.

They also expressed hope that such welfare-oriented initiatives would continue in the years to come.
