Imphal, March 23 2026: A blood and organ donation camp was successfully conducted today at the Babina Blood Centre, Sajiwa.

The camp was jointly organised by the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Imphal East District Branch and the Department of Vocational Studies & Skill-Development, Manipur University, to mark the birthday of Konsam Inakhunbi Leima, proprietor of Lanchenbi Foods.

Key attendees included Narendra Ningombam, chairman of IRCS Manipur State Branch; A Nabachandra, State Branch secretary; Dr N Amulkumar, chairman of IRCS Imphal East Branch; and Dr Shyamkumar, Medical Superintendent of Babina Speciality Hospital.

H Roji, IRCS Imphal East blood coordinator, also participated.

Monika Laishram of the MOHON Foundation led an awareness session on blood and organ donation, emphasizing its life-saving impact.
