Books of different authors released

Imphal, September 22 2024:
'Ethnicity and geopolitics: Ramification on North East India', a book co-authored by Department of Political Science, DM University associate professor Arambam Noni and Department of Law, Manipur University assistant professor Sapam Dilipkumar was released in a function organised by National Research Centre (NRC), Manipur at Naorem Sanajaoba Library Hall, near Manipur University main gate on Sunday.
The function was attended by DM University former vice chancellor Prof N Rajmuhon as chief guest and NRC president Th Ajit as president while senior journalist Rk Ranendrajit and Department of History, Manipur University former Prof N Joykumar were guests of honour.
The book contains 12 chapters, namely 'The Kingdom of Manipur and Ava'; 'The Shadow of Geopolitics and Ethnicity on India's North Eastern Region'; 'The India and Myanmar Equations: Locating the Northeast India'; 'Aspirations for new States in the 'Indo-Myanmar region: A Legal Critique'; 'Look East to Act East: An Evolving India's Foreign Policy Design'; 'India-China Relations and Northeast India'; 'India-Myanmar Relations: A Geopolitical Reading'; 'Geopolitics and Conflicts in South and South East Asian Region'; 'Rethinking the Implications of the United States and India's Security Policy in Myanmar'; 'Understanding India-China Geopolitical Contestations: The Implications on Manipur'; 'India-China-Myanmar Relations and Implications for Northeast India' and 'Ethnic Violence in Manipur: The Narco Trade and Geopolitics'.
As part of the function, the Quarterly Journal of NRC, titled 'Orient Vision' was also released.
On the other hand, the third volume of 'Manipur Papers' was released at the auditorium of JN Manipur Dance Academy here on Sunday with award winning film director Aribam Syam Sharma and Taragi Cheisu chairman Khaidem Mani as chief guest and president respectively.
The book is jointly edited by IAS (Retd) RK Nimai, Thangjam Brojen, Pradip Phanjoubam and Arambam Noni.
Meanwhile, "Lon Neinaron", a book penned by Prof Ibohal Singh was released in a simple function organised by Kangjam Enterprise, Imphal at the author's Naoremthong residence on Sunday.
The function was attended by literary critic Prof Nongmaithem Tombi as chief guest and MU ex-dean of Humanities Prof Polem Nabachandra as president.
'Lirisitpa Ayukki Malangda', a book of poems penned by Hawaibam Jandhoni was also released in a function organised by Leima-rol Khorjeikhol (LEIKOL) at Loktak Hall of Manipur Press Club on Sunday.
Presided over by LEIKOL president Kshetrimayum Subadhini, the function was attended by poet Rajendra Okram as chief guest and Prof Nahakpam Aruna as guest of honour.
Author Sanglakpam Achou Sharma shared his thoughts on the book.
