Imphal, May 22 2026: The Directorate of Education (S), Manipur, has notified the 'Merit Scholarship Scheme for Students' for HSLC and HSSLC toppers of 2026.According to the notification, Class X students who scored CGPA 8.83 and above in the HSLC Examination 2026 conducted by BOSEM will be eligible for Rs 6,000 per annum, with 300 students to be selected.

For HSSLC Examination 2026 under COHSEM, Rs 12,000 per annum will be awarded to the top 125 students each in Science and Arts streams, and to the top 50 students in Commerce stream.

The fists of eligible students are available at manipureducation.gov.in.

Eligible students, including those seeking renewal for 2024, can apply online through the National Scholarship Portal, scholarships.gov.in.

The portal will open on May 25, 2026, and registrations will close on August 31, 2026.Institute-level verification will end on September 15, 2026, followed by State-level verification by September 25, 2026.For details, students may contact Oinam Muhindro Singh, Vigyan Mandir Officer, at 8131849069 in the Science Unit of the Directorate during office hours.
