AR honours new generation of military leadership from Manipur

Imphal, December 20 2025: Assam Rifles hosted a ceremony at Mantripukhri Garrison to recognise remarkable achievements of Manipur's youth in the National defence sector.

The event served as a tribute to fourteen exceptional individuals, comprising seven newly commissioned officers and seven cadets recently selected for prestigious training academies.

The Inspector General of Assam Rifles personally engaged with the achievers and their families, expressing profound appreciation for the relentless dedication shown by the young officers and the unwavering support provided by their parents in shaping such successful careers.

The newly commissioned officers have brought honour to the State.

These officers, many of whom are alumni of the National Defence Academy or rose through the SCO and PCSL entries, represent the peak of Manipur's rich military contribution, said IGAR(South) in a statement.
