Lunghar VA pledges support for Shirui Lily festival

Ukhrul, May 17 2025: Lunghar Village Authority has announced its firm commitment to extending full cooperation and support to ensure success of the upcoming 5th Shirui Lily festival, pledging to offer varied festive experiences at Jorcheng - a beloved hotspot for tourists and festival - goers.

A statement issued by the village authority stated that Lunghar village's efforts in the previous celebrations in terms of facilitating and collaborating with the various stakeholders of the festivals have made Jorcheng one of the most happening and exciting hubs for the festival, hosting various events such as live music, adventurous activities, traditional food, mountain biking, ATV & dirt bike, trampoline, ziplining, DJ night, camping and trekking that drew crowd from across the state and beyond.

The statement also highlighted the village's commitment to providing hospitality services by ensuring the safety and well-being of tourists and visitors during the celebrations.

"We are committed to extending our cooperation as we have done over the previous years by providing, logistics and accommodation services for all stakeholders, be it designated police personnel on duty, festival partners or event organisers," it added.
