Over 300 vehicles stranded on NH-2

Senapati, May 16 2026:
More than 300 trucks, buses and winger vans have been left stranded along NH-2 after the sudden total shutdown called by Kuki Inpi Manipur (KIM) .
Passengers and drivers are facing acute hardship, struggling to access food, essential supplies, and basic sanitation facilities.
Many have now been stuck on the highway for four consecutive days.
The vehicles remain stranded between Khong-nem and T Khullen, with no immediate relief in sight.
More than 100 goods laden trucks and some passengers vehicles (Wingers) are also stranded along the stretch from Mayangkhang to T Khullen.
The stranded transporters and passengers have appealed to the authorities to intervene, ease the situation, and ensure their safe passage to their respective destinations without further delay.
