YK College observes National Endangered Species Day

Thoubal, May 15 2026: A one-day awareness programme in connection with the observance of "National Endangered Species Day, 2026" was held today at YK College, Wangjing.

The programme was jointly organised by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and the Environment Club of the college under the theme "Celebrating America's Wildlife Comeback Stories, Championing the Endangered Species Act" .

The event was attended by Principal of YK College, Kh Jugindro; Head of the Dept of English and Associate Professor Dr Somorendro; and Head of the Dept of Zoology and Associate Professor M Chinaman Devi, as presidium members.

Associate Professor of the Dept of Computer Science, DM University, Dr Henerita Khumanllambam; and Associate Professor of the Dept of Botany, YK College, Dr Sangeeta Yanglem, attended the programme as resource persons.
