Four cadres of banned outfits arrested

Imphal, July 13 2025: Security forces arrested four cadres of different banned outfits from various locations.

According to a press note by Manipur Police Control Room, security forces arrested two active-cadres of banned outfit KYKL from Laikhong on Saturday.

The arrested cadres have been identified as Sagolshem Lalit Meitei (36) of Itham Mamang Leikai and Ahongshangbam Tomba Singh of Itham Wangma Leikai.

Meanwhile, another team of security forces apprehended a cadre of the armed KCP (Apunba), identified as Khumukcham Abosana Singh (24) from Kongpal Chingangbam Leikai on Saturday.

Security forces also rounded up another cadre of KCP (Taibanganba) from Tronglaobi Bazar on July 11 .

The cadre has been identified as Thingujam Ramesh Singh alias Alex alias Pinky (31) of Torbung Bangla Ward No,6 .

He is said to be involved in extortion from public, government employees and businessmen in Bishnupur area.

The team recovered two SIM cards and one mobile phone from his possession.

Meanwhile, security forces apprehended a cadre of RPF/PLA, identified as Meisnam Manglemnganba Meitei alias Chumthangkhanba alias Naotomba (27) of Laingoubi Mayai Leikai, from Wangjing Bazar on Saturday.

Naotomba is accused of carrying out extortion activities in Thoubal and Bishnupur districts, and also recruitment for the outfit.

The team recovered one mobile phone with one SIM card, one Aadhaar card, one PAN card, one voter ID card and a money bag from his possession.
