Imphal, June 11 2025: Based on the field enquiry report submitted by Zonal Education Officer, Zone-II, Porompat, Imphal East deputy commissioner has notified that government, government-aided and private schools in the district shall re-open and resume normal functioning with effect from Thursday.

The DC in an order directed ZEOs, principals and headmasters of the respective school to take all necessary precautionary measures and ensure that appropriate action are taken up for the safe and smooth reopening of schools.

Similarly, Imphal West DC also issued order for reopening of schools under the revenue jurisdiction of Imphal West from Thursday.

It further directed that head of institutions must ensure safety and cleanliness of school premises, particularly in areas affected by the recent floods/rains, ZEO submit daily reports on school functionality and any emergent issues to the office and Directorate of Education (S) and local authorities to remain vigilant and promptly report any disruption to district administration for immediate decision.
