Motbung Youth Club clarifies allegations against Lamminlun Singsit

Motbung, February 09 2026: The Motbung Youth Club (MYC) has issued a clarification terming as false and unfounded the allegations made against Lamminlun Singsit, president of Thadou Inpi Sadar Hills and Joint Secretary of COTU, in connection with a alleged threat to the club.

In a press release issued on Sunday, the MYC stated that Singsit was wrongly blamed for allegedly threatening the Motbung Youth Club in the name of an organisation.

The club appealed to the Thadou Students' Association (TSA) to understand the matter in its proper perspective and not to be influenced by unverified information or allegations.

The club also informed the public that the 17th Motbung Veng Tournament 2026 was successfully conducted in a peaceful and orderly manner.

Following the conclusion of the tournament, the MYC urged the general public, organisations and civil society groups to refrain from spreading unverified claims that could lead to misunderstanding or arguments.

Reaffirming its commitment to unity, harmony and community welfare, the Motbung Youth Club called upon all concerned to maintain peace and avoid circulation of rumours that may disturb social harmony.
