Tampi Sinnu Ruwl celebrates golden jubilee

The Tampi Sinnu Ruwl (TSR) on Thursday celebrated 50 years of its glorious existence and achievements with a grand Golden Jubilee celebration held at the village Khuhlu Ground.
The jubilee was observed under the theme "Celebrating God's Gift of Women" .
The celebration commenced with the unveiling of the Jubilee monolith by Ht Hringkhel, the first president of TSR, followed by the hoisting of the Jubilee flag.
The monolith was blessed and dedicated by Rev St Moses.
This was followed by the ceremonial striking of the traditional gong three times each by the chief guest, special guest, along with the former presidents of TSR and invitees.
Established in 1956, the TSR marked the golden jubilee to celebrate its achievements, milestones and God blessings.
As part of the jubilee observance, all married women of the village were honoured equally, including those who came as in-laws and those who had left the villages as daughters-in-law.
