Awareness programme on 'Drug Abuse Prevention' held at Kakching

Kakching, November 05 2025: As part of the "Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA)" (Drug-Free India) campaign, a one-day awareness programme on "Drug Abuse Prevention" was organised today at Victory High School, Kakching.

The awareness programme was organised by the Kha-Manipur Yoga and Nature Cure Association, Kakching, in collaboration with the State Level Coordinating Agency (SLCA), Manipur, of NMBA campaign.

The event was attended by Kha-Manipur Yoga and Nature Cure Association Kakching, chief functionary Dr Mayanglambam Rajkumar; and Victory High School principal, Sougaijam Manihar as presidium members.

Salam Rameshwar, viceprincipal of Victory High School, Kakching, served as the resource person, delivering an insightful talk on the harmful effects of drug use and stressing the importance of awareness and self-discipline in combating substance abuse among youths.

As part of the programme, a student symposium was also organised, featuring 10 selected participants.

In the competition, Naorem Nerubha Devi secured the first prize, while Kshetrimayum Steline Singh and Naorem Alexson Singh won the second and third prizes, respectively.
