Imphal, April 02 2026: The Public Health Engineering Department (PHED), Government of Manipur has informed that there will be irregular water supply to the public in the areas covered by Porompat Water Treatment Plant due to a technical issue at the intake point.

According to a release issued by the PHED, normal water supply will be affected in New Checkon, Nongmeibung, Thawanthaba Leirak, Tribal Colony, Khalabung Leirak, Soibam leikai, Ayangpalli Road, Kongpal, Khurai Sajor Leikai, Tellipati, Wamgkhei Khunou, Hatta, Rahmania, Top Khongnangkhong and Thambal Khong areas.

The PHED also announced that water supply will resume once the issue is fixed, apologising for the inconvenience caused.
