Preps on in full swing for Muivah's Senapati visit

Preparations for the visit of Th Muivah, Ato Kilonser, Govt of People's Republic of Nagalim (GPRN) to Senapati district headquarters are on in full swing at the proposed civic reception venue at Senapati Stadium.
Numerous banners welcoming Muivah and decorative gates have been set up across various locations in Senapati district headquarters for the visit.
The event will be organized by the United Naga Council (UNC) and hosted by the Naga People's Organization (NPO).
Earlier, the United Naga Council, the apex Naga civil society organization, had extended their invitation to all communities in the State to the grand reception of Muivah.
The Nagas are expected to warmly welcome Th Muivah in a traditional manner during his visit to Senapati.
The UNC had also declared "genna" (suspension of daily and economic activities) on the day of his visit to Senapati and invited all the Naga communities to take part in the civic reception programme on October 29.On the day of Muivah's arrival at Senapati, a reception will commence at the helipad, led by UNC officials, Tribe Hoho presidents, presidents of subordinate and associate units, ANSAM, NWU, and NSCN officials.
A human chain reception by various communities of the district will follow, extending from the helipad to the hall entrance, accompanied by traditional whoopee and escorted by the Royal Brothers Motorcycle Club.
Different choirs are also lined up to entertain the gathering.
NPO president Kuba Peter will deliver the words of welcome.
Presentations from 21 Naga tribes and apex CSOs will follow during the programme.
Th Muivah is also expected to address the people in the middle of the programme.
Briefing the ground preparations for the visit, UNC president Ng Lorho stated that hectic ground preparation works are on in full swing by all the frontal organizations.
The UNC president mentioned that some tens of thousands are expected to attend the programme.
He appealed to all Naga communities to come and witness the mammoth gathering on the day to make it memorable.
Lorho also urged all citizens of the State, regardless of community, to fully cooperate in maintaining law and order and ensuring a peaceful environment during the programme.
Later in the afternoon today, the official programme of the proposed civic reception at Senapati was officially opened by the UNC president.
