Imphal, October 25 2025: Informing that Sardar @150 Unity March Campaign would be held across the country in commemoration of the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Youth Affairs & Sports (YAS) Secretary Naorem Praveen has appealed to all the youth of Manipur to take part in the campaign.

Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club here today, N Praveen said that the campaign would be held in Manipur from October 31 under the aegis of YAS Department and Mera Yuva Bharat Manipur.

He said that digital phase of the campaign was launched on October 6 by Union YAS Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya through My Bharat portal.

The digital phase includes social media reel competition, essay writing contest, sardar@150 young leader programme etc.

150 winners of these competitions will be selected to take part in National Padyatra, Praveen said.

He said that the campaign would be held at the district level too from October 31 to November 25.Due preparations for the district level campaign have been completed with the help of district administrations.

There will be a long march for three days in every parliamentary constituency of each district.

Ahead of this long march, pre-event activities will be organised at schools and colleges.

Moreover, yoga, health camp and cleanliness drives will also be organised, he said.

The long march will feature offering of floral tributes to the portrait of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and distribution of certificates, the YAS Secretary said.

A National march covering 152 Kms will be held from November 26 to December 6 .

The National march will start from Karamsad, the birthplace of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and wind up at the Unity Statue, Kevadia.

The National march will halt at 150 places and exhibitions on the life story of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and cultural shows will be held at these places, Praveen said.

My Bharat Manipur State Director L Marjitkumar was also present at the press meet.
