Imphal, April 24 2026:
Raising a number of questions before the Government, the Coordinating Committee on Manipur Integrity (COCOMI) is set to march to the Chief Minister's Bungalow tomorrow.
Addressing the media at Lamphelpat today, COCOMI convenor YK Dhiren stated that the rally will begin at 1 pm, during which important questions about the ongoing crisis will be raised to the Government.
He appealed to all Manipuris to march towards the Chief Minister's Bungalow tomorrow.
According to Dhiren, the questions to be raised during the march are:
1. Won't the State Government boldly urge the Centre to stop its 'proxy war'?
2. Won't the Government take action to wipe out Kuki narco-terrorism from Manipur?
3. Won't the Government deliver justice for the terror attack at Tronglaobi and the ambush near TM Kasom?
4. Won't the Government initiate a judicial inquiry into the CRPF's firing on protesters that killed three individuals?
5. Won't the Government take swift action to resettle internally displaced people?
6. Won't the Government abrogate the Suspension of Operations (SoO) pact?
Dhiren stated that a memorandum listing these questions will also be submitted to the Chief Minister.
The Government must answer these questions, he said.
He, meanwhile, claimed that the Govt has done nothing to resolve the crisis, which will complete three years in a few days, other than portraying it as an ethnic conflict.
Stating that two siblings were killed in a bomb attack at Tronglaobi on April 7, and three other individuals were killed in indiscriminate firing by CRPF personnel on the same day, he added that two Naga civilians were also killed in an ambush near TM Kasom on April 18.Dhiren said that the State Government, however, has not taken any meaningful action to deliver justice to the victims, despite widespread protests by the people.
Saying that COCOMI has received an invitation from the Government for talks, he added that the Committee, however, has not yet decided whether to accept the invitation.
