Imphal, September 22 2025:
The BJP leadership refusing to form a stable Government here is an insult to the people of Manipur, CLP leader and former Chief Minister Okram Ibobi has said.
He said this during the launch of "Vote Chor, Gaddi Chhod" - a Nationwide signature campaign at Heingang, a BJP stronghold of ex-Chief Minister N Biren Singh.
Speaking at the campaign, Congress leader Ibobi said the majority of the MLAs of the State are of the BJP but the Modi and Amit Shah Govt has refused to form a Government.
This is an insult to the people of the State, he added.
Commenting on issues facing Manipur, Ibobi said the Prime Minister didn't speak a word of ending the conflict when he was in the State recently.

There is suspicion among the people if Modi and Amit Shah are intentionally shutting the Highways for political reasons, he said.
Apparently hitting at exChief Minister N Biren Singh, Ibobi said the people of Heingang must never elect persons who may harm and ruin Manipur.
On the campaign, Ibobi said a study led by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has revealed vote theft by the BJP.
Modi, who became Prime Minister by "stealing votes" should resign from the office, he said.
The campaign was organised by the Heingang Block Congress Committee under the aegis of the Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee.
Congress leaders including former Deputy CM Gaikhangam attended the launch of the campaign at the residence of P Saratchandra Singh, general secretary MPCC .
