100 years of RSS journey narrated

The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Bishnupur Vibhag, organised "Prominent Citizens' Meeting" at the Guest House of Gopinath Mandir, Ningthoukhong, today.
While addressing a gathering of around 50 prominent citizens, Khwairakpa Rajen Singh, Karyawah of RSS Assam Kshetra, spoke in detail about the RSS' 100 years journey and its social goal.
At the event held as a part of the RSS centenary celebrations, he explained the organisation's five key goals of social transformation, known as the Panch Parivartan : Samajik Samarasta (Social Harmony); Kutumb Prabodhan (Family Awakening); Paryavaran Sanrakshan (Environmental Protection); Swa-Bhav Jagran & Swadeshi (Self-Reliance & Selfhood) and Nagrik Kartavya (Civic Duty) .

He emphasised that a society needs responsible, peaceful, disciplined, capable and civic-minded citizens in order to progress and live harmoniously.
Merely creating good laws and policies by the Government is not sufficient if citizens do not follow proper conduct and social values to achieve the desired changes.
Therefore, citizens have an important responsibility to contribute towards building a better and stronger society, he said.
N Indubushan Singh, president of the Bharatiya Kisan Sangh, Manipur Prant, also participated in the programme.
