Imphal, October 11 2025: Security forces arrested three drug sellers including a cop and recovered contraband items including 3 kilograms of heroin and Rs 9.57 lakh in separate operations yesterday, said Manipur police.

The arrested cop has been identified as Md Wahi-dur Rahman (43) of Thoubal Moijing Leingoiching.

He is Md Wahidur is a Rifleman in the Police Department.

From his possession, police seized 544 capsules of Semplx+ .

The other two arrested have been identified as Md Khursid Alam (21) of Lilong Litan Makhong; Md Akbar (37) of Khergao Awang Leikai.

Md Khursid Alam and Md Akbar were arrested from their respective localities.

From their posse- ssion, security forces recovered 3 Kg of heroin, eight bottles of psychotropic Tussrex-TR syrup, sale proceeds of drugs amounting to Rs 9.57 lakh, one SBBL gun along with two cartridges and one Hyundai Creta car and four mobile phones.

Meanwhile the cop, identified as Md Wahidur, was arrested from the North AOC area under Imphal police station, said the police in a statement.

From his possession, the police seized 544 capsules of Semplx+ weighing approximately 301 grams.

Investigation has established that Md Wahidur is a Rifleman serving in the Manipur Police Department, said the police statement "Manipur Police reiterate its firm stance against erring members who are found indulging in any illegal activities related to drugs.

Besides disciplinary action, FIRs incorporating criminal charges are mandatorily filed against such offenders," said the police.
