Imphal, February 06 2026:
Kuki militants fired several rounds at the hill range of Sinam Kom around 7 pm today.
According to sources, security personnel are closely monitoring the situation in the nearby region.
Since the formation of the new State Government, Kuki militants have fired at the same hill range on the night of February 4 and February 5 morning.
Meanwhile, a press release issued by the Khundrakpam Kendra Youths' Organisation (KHUKYO) stated that the Government of India has failed to control the "Kuki terrorists" and urged the people of Khundrakpam to stay alert.
The organisation claimed that the "Kuki terrorists" fired several rounds from the Mark Hill range, located near Kongba Maru Lamphamlen, around 7 pm today.
It further alleged that the farmhouse of Chief Minister Y Khemchand at Ishingthembi Village could be targeted by these militants if security forces fail to take adequate measures.
Additionally, the organisation alleged that armed Kuki narco-terrorists are still stationed at the Mark Hill range and they continue to provoke the Meeteis.
