Imphal, May 02 2025:
The Coordinating Committee on Manipur Integrity (COCOMI) has once again appealed to the people to cease-work tomorrow to mark two years since the crisis began in Manipur.
Speaking to the media at Lamphel today, COCOMI coordinator YK Dhiren said that they will organise a public convention at Khuman Lampak as announced tomorrow.
The convention is scheduled to start at 11.30 am, he said, informing the people to enter the venue through the northern gate of Khuman Lampak (near 9th IRB) and park their vehicles in the surrounding area of the main stadium.
RK Tharaksana, convenor of COCOMI's women's wing, also urged people to attend the convention in large number to pass a collective resolution against the 'violent campaign of Kuki narco- terrorists'.
Requesting the people to refrain from holding any festivities tomorrow, she said that a candlelight vigil will be held at 6 pm at the eastern gate of Kangla to honour those killed in the conflict.
