Political parties roll out names; MSCP issues first list

Manipur State Congress Party (MSCP) has released a list of 17 individuals who will contest the 10th manipur Legislative Assembly election as party nominees.
Announcing the names of the individuals included in the first phase list at its Palace Gate office today, MSCP president Yumnam Mani said the Party will contest the said poll on its own.
asserting that MSCP is confident doing well in the election, he conveyed that the political organisation is prepared to strike alliance with like-minded political parties at the time of forming the next Government.
Reminding that MSCP had been an ally of the SPF Government in the first term, Mani also clarified that as none of the MSCP candidates were successful at the previous election it consequently parted ways with the Government.
Further maintaining that focus of the MSCP in the upcoming election would be rooting out corruption and protecting Manipur's emotional and territorial integrity, he also asserted that the second phase candidates would be declared by January 9 at the latest.
Individuals listed in the first phase are Y Mani (Wangoi), Adim Pamei (Nungba), Vivek Raj Wangkhem (Kshetrigao), Bountia Keishing (Phungyar), Okram Henry (Wangkhei), Dr Jainson Haokip (Henglep), Dr Jainson Haokip (Henglep), Onjamang Haokip (Tengnoupal), Bheigyachandra Shamuphaba (Thongju), Thiyam Yaima Singh (Bishnupur), Pilot M Khagemba (Mayang Imphal), K Thamarjit Singh (Keirao), Ch Ganeshlal Singh (Keishamthong), N Shyamananda Singh (Uripok), L Lala Singh (Khundrakpam), H Kulachandra (Thanga), Lumgkholal (Saikot) and Md Jalaludin (Jiribam) .
