2-day seminar on Sustainability, Development and Human Progress begins

Thoubal, January 30 2026: A two-day national seminar on "Sustainability, Development and Human Progress" commenced today at the seminar hall of YK College.

The programme is jointly organised by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of YK College, Wangjing, and the Seminar Committee, in collaboration with the Directorate of University and Higher Education, Government of Manipur.

The inaugural session was attended by A Rama Sanker Sharma, Joint Director of the Directorate of University & Higher Education, Government of Manipur; YK College Principal Professor Kh Jugindro; and former Dean of School of Social Sciences, Manipur University, Professor E Bijoykumar, as presidium members.

The event opened with the release of a seminar bulletin by the dignitaries.

In his keynote address, Assistant Professor of Economics Department, Dr Khangembam Arundas Singh urged the participants to take full advantage of the discourse offered through the seminar.

The second technical session of the seminar will continue on February 2 .
