MLA to give rice to beneficiaries

Imphal, March 26 2020: MLA of Sagolband AC, RK Imo has conveyed that the NFSA beneficiaries of the Constituency will get rice for the month of March for free, in addition to the decision of the State Government to distribute rice under NFSA for the month of April.

The MLA, in a statement yesterday, stated that the he will bear the cost of the commodity, which would be around Rs 4/5 lakh.

He urged all FPS/ agents to ensure that these benefits reach the people without fail.

It may be noted that the MLA had donated Rs 50,000 to the State to fight coronavirus.

Concerned with the scarcity of many essential services, RK Imo also urged the State Government to take care of water scarcity in Imphal City.

He also advised everyone not to venture out during the lockdown period and adopt social distancing to combat the pandemic.
