DC Bishnupur distributes sprayers and hand weeders

Bishnupur, August 25 2025: Deputy Commissioner Bishnupur, Pooja Elangbam, today distributed battery-operated sprayers and hand weeders/ hand wheel hoes (manual) to beneficiaries of the district under the 2nd instalment of the Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY) Cafeteria, 2023-24 .

A total of 39 beneficiaries from across Bishnupur district, including one internally displaced person currently staying at a relief camp, were handed over the farming gears at the Mini Secretariat Complex, Bishnupur.

The distribution program was held in the presence of District Horticulture and SoilConservation Officer, Bishnupur Soibam Sushila Chanu.

Speaking on the occasion, Soibam Sushila Chanu highlighted the importance of the farming gears, stating that the battery-operated sprayer will save both time and effort while ensuring efficiency in farm operations, while the hand weeder will greatly assist farmers in effectively removing weeds, thereby improving agricultural practices.

Officials of the District Horticulture and Soil Conservation Office Bishnupur also attended the distribution program.
