Month-long narrative arts workshop on Mahabharata begins at Langathel

Thoubal, May 24 2026: A month-long intensive workshop cum narrative arts production on "Mahabharata Aadi Parba" commenced today at Laikhom Community Hall, Langathel.

The programme is being organised by the Regional Centre for Cultural Heritage (RCCH), Yairipok under the funding from the Ministry of Culture, Government of India.

The inaugural function was attended by president of Pouranic Parishad Imphal and State Kala Academy awardee Konthoujam Kunjo Singh as the chief guest; Thoubal Waree Leeba Association president Nongmaithem Priyokumar Singh as functional president; and Social Worker Sh Bimola Devi as guest of honour.

Altogether 15 Waree Leeba gurus from different parts of the State are participating in the workshop.
