Applications invited for 1st Digital Journalism Awards 2026

Imphal, January 20 2026: Team Manipur Update has invited applications from journalists based in Manipur working in digital media organisations or digital news platforms (webpages, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter etc) for the 1st edition of the Digital Journalism Awards 2026.As per a notification, digital journalists who are actively engaged in news services and have made meaningful contributions to public discourse through digital media during the year 2025 can apply for the award latest by January 25, 2026.The Digital Journalism Awards 2026 will be handed out across five categories- Digital Journalist of the Year, Promising Digital Journalist Award, Distinguished Service in Digital Journalism Award, Best Credible Digital media page/ Channel and Jury's Choice Digital Journalism Award.

The awards will be presented during the 1st Manipur Digital Media Conclave 2026 "Beyond Silence" set to be held on January 29 at Sangai Hall, Imphal Hotel, Manipur.

Applicants must submit a brief bio-data and three news reports published between January 1, 2025 and December 31, 2025 .

Applications should be submitted via WhatsApp to 7005123490/7005498162 and through Team Manipur Update email: [email protected].

The awards will come with a cash prize of Rs 10,000, certificate and memento.
