Training, orientation prog on AMB held

Kakching, June 18 2025: As part of the ongoing campaign, District Health Society, Chandel organised a one-day block-level training cum orientation programme on Anaemia Mukt Bharat (AMB) at Liwachangning Government High School, in Chandel district on Wednesday.

The programme was held with AMB Chandel district nodal officer Dr Th Noren Singh, district data manager Ch Robi and block programme manager Leena Dilbung as resource persons.

Among the resource persons, Dr Th Noren highlighted the campaign's objective to prevent anaemia cases in the country, focusing on vulnerable groups such as children, adolescents, women, and pregnant women.

He outlined the campaign's strategies, including iron and folic acid supplementation, deworming, dietary improvements, and enhanced health services.

The programme was participated by officials of education department, Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS), counsellors, teachers and medical staff.

Subsequently, haemoglobin testing was also conducted for the trainees.
