Imphal, March 17 2026: Dr N Irabanta Singh, a retired Professor (Higher Academic Grade) in Life Sciences from Manipur University and current Senior Vice-President of the Association of Indian Private Universities, HQ Ghaziabad, UP, has been bestowed the prestigious Bhartiya Padma Bhushan Samman Award.

The award was presented by the Universal Honorary Award Council (UHAC) in Delhi on February 18, 2026, in recognition of his exceptional contributions in the fields of Education and Healthcare, specifically for Parthenium Menace Management.

The decision to grant the award was based on his extensive publications in the print media (Sangai Express- English Edition) between 2012 and 2022 .
