Malem Thongam to reach Imphal on Dec 19

Imphal, December 16 2025: Owing to some health concerns, transgender activist Malem Thongam will reach Imphal on December 19 .

He was previously slated to reach here on December 17 .

The social activist will halt at Kohima for the night and set out for his home State tomorrow.

Along with volunteers of Manipuri Cultural Society, Malem Thongam will be flagged off for the last leg of his cycling mission from Kohima District Police Headquarter tomorrow at 8 am .

On the same day, he will be received by a team of Manipur State Police and Mao villagers at Mao Gate at 1 pm .

He will halt here for the night.

On December 18, he will leave Mao and arrive at Senapati District Police Headquarter around 2 pm .

After leaving Senapati, he will pass through Kangpokpi district and reach Sekmai Police Station at 2 pm on December 19 .

He plans to reach Kangla (Western Gate) before 4 pm after a short rest.

Malem Thongam will conclude his cycling journey across India by offering prayers to Ibudhou Pakhangba.
