Children's Day celebrated with children of relief camps in Bishnupur

Bishnupur, November 16 2025: Children's Day was celebrated with joy and enthusiasm today with the Shanti Mandop located at Moirang Panshang Leikai.

The celebration organised by the Matai Society, saw vibrant participation from children and students belonging to different relief camps within Bishnupur district.

The young participants showcased their talents, creativity, and performances, adding colour and warmth to the celebration.

Speaking on the occasion, Kumam Davidson, president of Matai Society expressed concern over the hardships faced by children affected by recent violence.

He stated that while government support does not always reach the children effectively, grassroots organisations continue to play a crucial role in ensuring their wellbeing.

He appealed for collective responsibility to guarantee the safety, protection, and proper care of children living in relief camps.
