GSA, PAWF announce award recipients

Imphal, February 04 2026: The Ghyanratna Sahitya Academy (GSA) has officially announced the list of recipients for the GSA National Award 2026 from the state of Manipur.

A total of eight individuals from Manipur have been selected for their outstanding contributions in various fields.

The recipients are - Leishangthem Budhi Meitei (Samaj Gaurav National Award), Dr Angom Bembem Chanu (Samaj Padma National Award), Gotimayum Asharani Devi (Sangeet Ratna' National Award), Shamurailatpam Debaraj Sharma (Samaj Surabhi National Award), RK Indira Devi (Samaj Jyoti National Award), Dr Yumnam Nandini (Siksha Siromoni National Award), Lamabam Birendra Singh (Kavi Ratna National Award), and Sanasam Robita Devi (Samaj Sevak National Award).

The award ceremony will be held on March 15, 2026, at the GSA 12th National Conference in Guwahati.

Meanwhile, the Patriotic Writers Forum (PAWF), Manipur has announced that the "Arambam Ibungohal & Binodkumari Literary Award 2025" will be conferred upon writer Thokchom Dollarsen, for his book titled "Utangbigi Lamdamduda" .

The award will be presented on February 21, 2026, during PAWF's International Mother Language Day event.
