PAF rescues Indian Civet Cat

Imphal, November 02 2025: A small Indian Civet Cat, locally known as Moirang Sathibi, was rescued by the People for Animals (PAF), Manipur from Yairipok.

The civet cat was spotted by Kshetrimayum Pari, a Class 6 student of Memorial Model Academy, Yairipok, in his background.

The civet cat appears to be in a very weak condition, prompting the young boy to inform his father, Premjit, who then contacted the PFA team for assistance.

Responding promptly, PFA members arrived and safely rescued the civet cat, which was found in a weak condition suffering from exhaustion and dehydration.

The rescued civet cat will be kept under observation and treatment at their animal shelter.

Once it recovers fully, it will be released back into its natural habitat, said PFA Manipur.
