ZTKL calls for intervention of CM

Zingtun Tangkhul Katamnao Long (ZTKL) has today appealed to the government of Manipur for an immediate regularization of the 772 verified teachers who have been serving on contract basis for as long as five years in the interest of the people of the hill districts of Manipur, said a release.
The student body claimed that instead of an effective plan on catering to the immediate shortage of teachers in the hill districts of the state, these teachers who were earlier appointed in the year 2006 under the Directorate of Education (S) have not been given any heed by the concerned department, added the release.
A memorandum was presented to the Chief Minister on November 16 .
In another release today from the Anal Lenruwl Tangpi, the students association of the Anal Naga had also submitted a memorandum demanding the regularization of the aforementioned teachers expressing deep concern over the tireless and dedication work of these teachers, said the release.
