IEDs detected

Kolkata, November 24 2014:
Security forces detected three IEDs at different places of Bishnupur district along Tiddim road.
Troops of 2/5 Gorkha Regiment who were on ROP duty detected an IED weighing around 4 Kgs at Keinou Makha Leikai at around 5.30 am.
Immediately, the troops blocked the road on both sides and informed a bomb disposal squad.
A bomb disposal squad retrieved the bomb and set it off safely at a nearby paddy field at around 8 am following which the road was re-opened, informed a source.
Two IEDs were detected at two different points of Okshongbung along the same road at around 7 pm yesterday.
The two IEDs were detected by a combined team of 6th AR, 7th AR, 2nd JAKLI and Bishnupur district police.
(The IEDs were detected in the course of search operations carried out in view of the 50th raising day of UNLF.
Both the bombs were fitted inside pressure cookers and they were planted underneath two culverts which are 200 metres apart.
The two bombs were later set off safely by a bomb disposal squad of Manipur police.
