Five days Waree Leeba festival wraps up

The five days Ramayana Waree Leeba festival, organised by Repertory of Waree Leeba Manipur Khurai Chingangbam Leirak Imphal and Rising Youth Organisation Moirangkhom Bokul Makhong Imphal concluded at Bhakta Ashram Ground Community Hall Moirangkhom Bokul Makhong today.
MLA of Yaiskul AC Th Satyabrata graced the ceremony as chief guest, Rising Youth Organisation vice president Sagolsem Tijendra, Rajarshi Bheigyachandra Cultural Foundation Manipur chief advisor Bhramhacharimayum Amusana Sharma and theatre critic Budhi as dignitaries.
Speaking on the occasion, Satyabrata lauded, the initiative of Repertory of Waree Leeba Manipur Khurai Chingangbam Leirak Imphal and Rising Youth Organisation Moirangkhom Bokul Makhong Imphal for organising the festival.
He stated that the deep rooted tradition of storytelling among members of families, locals and villagers are fading away, which is rather unfortunate.
The present and future generation should try to renew the old age tradition and adopt the habit of storytelling as it helps in learning about human behaviour, moral, discipline etc.
He appealed the organisers to continue organising such festival in the near future.
