VDF Welfare Association extends financial aid

Thoubal, January 30 2026: The executive committee members of the VDF Welfare Association, Thoubal district, extended financial assistance of Rs 2.50 lakh to the family of late Md Mikhu (VDF No 1974), who passed away on January 8, 2026 .

The financial aid was handed over to Mumtaz, wife of the deceased, during a visit to her residence at Sangaiyumpham Pt-I, Idgah, Thoubal district, by the committee members on Thursday.

The visit and handing over of the assistance were also accompanied by Additional SP (L&O), Thoubal, Divya (IPS), and RO to SP Thoubal, Y Shankerdas Mangang, under the initiative of Superintendent of Police, Manoj Prabhakar M (IPS) .

Meanwhile, the Association also provided medical reimbursement amounting to Rs 90,000 to five Village Defence Force (VDF) personnel of Thoubal district, reaffirming its commitment towards the welfare of VDF personnel and their families.
