Students form human chain demanding justice for schoolgirl victim of cyber harassment

Moirang, August 25 2025: Students of Loktak Christian Model High School formed a human chain today demanding strict action against the perpetrators involved in the tragic death of a 15-year-old school girl from Bishnupur district.

The minor victim was found hanging at her residence on August 23.During the protest, placards that read "Stop Cyber Harassment", "Stop Crime Against Student", "Justice for the Deceased Giri", "End Online Abuse, Protect Our Daughter", "Protect Student, Punish Criminals" etc were displayed by the students.

During the protest, a classmate of the deceased said the students want immediate identification and strict punishment of the culprits.

Those responsible must be given the harshest punishment as per law so that such crimes are not repeated, she said.

She also appealed to the authorities concerned to take strong measures against cyber harassment, warning that without stem action, many young lives could be lost in the future.
