Imphal, March 23 2026: Dr N Irabanta Singh, retired Professor, Life Sciences, Manipur university, and chairman, Nibiaa Group of Companies, has been conferred honorary Doctorate Degree (Honoris Causa) in the field of "Organic Farming Technology" by the Euro Asian University in Tallinn, Estonia (Northern Europe).

The honorary Doctorate was presented on February 26, 2026.The university based its decision on five of Dr Irabanta's research publications - two international and three national- focused on the field of organic farming technology, which were published between 2011 and 2024.The core findings of these research works were published in the English edition of The Sangai Express.
