Chandel, February 23 2026: Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Chandel in collaboration with the District Veterinary Department, Chandel organised a one-day Animal Health Camp under NICRA Project at Lambung village, Chandel today.

During the camp, Dr Rd Samery, Veterinary Officer, Chandel, and Dr A Ameeta Devi, SS & Head, KVK Chandel administered swine fever vaccines to 34 piglets.

Farmers were also provided with wound-healing sprays, vitamins, minerals, antiseptic solutions, bouffant caps, hand gloves, masks and sanitisers.

Altogether, 28 farmers benefited from the camp, gaining scientific knowledge on improved livestock management and prevention.

The initiative not only imparted scientific temperament to the livestock fanners but also contributed significantly to tribal farmers in the district.

Dr Kangjam Sonamani Singh, Nodal Officer (NICRA Project); KILevish, SMS (Agronomy), Ts Leenda Monsang, SMS (Plant Breeding) and Super Kamei, (Senior Technical Officer) also attended the camp.
