Imphal/CCpur/Chandel, December 20 2025:
Demonstrating a multifaceted approach to community regional stability, the Assam Rifles recently conducted a series of initiatives aimed at youth empowerment, veteran welfare and cultural integration across Imphal, Churachandpur and Chandel districts.
In an effort to bridge the gap between classroom theory and practical military knowledge, an equipment display was organised at Keithelmanbi for 192 NCC cadets from the 1 Manipur Air Squadron, said a press note issued by IGAR (S).
The session provided the aspiring defence professionals with hands-on exposure to modem weaponry and operational procedures.
Parallelly, a dedicated door-to-door medical outreach campaign was conducted in Churachandpur district from December 12 to 20.Addressing the challenges of healthcare delivery in the current environment, medical teams provided comprehensive check-ups and essential treatments to nineteen bedridden veterans at their residences.
The humanitarian initiative included the distribution of health-conscious gifts for the festive season.
The spirit of the season was further celebrated in Chandel district, where personnel joined the residents of Sehlon village for an Advent Christmas gathering.
The event was marked by traditional carols and community interaction.
