Imphal, February 20 2026: Manipur University has secured top honors by emerging as the Overall Champion University at the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) 39th Inter-University North-East Zone Youth Festival 2025-2026 (UNIFEST) .

The university's contingent showcased exceptional talent and cultural excellence across various competitive events to win the prestigious zonal festival.

The festival, organised under the aegis of the AIU, saw participation from leading universities across the North East region.

Manipur University's students delivered outstanding performances in multiple categories, reflecting their dedication, teamwork, and artistic brilliance.

The university fraternity has expressed immense pride in the students' achievement, describing it as a testament to their hard work and the institution's commitment to promoting cultural and creative excellence alongside academic pursuits.

The champion team is scheduled to arrive back at Bir Tikendrajit International Airport, Imphal, on February 21 at 11:30 am .
